If you had a lunchbox as a kid, and if you take a second to imagine that lunchbox, can you still smell the inside?
(Mine was Wags & Whiskers. And I can smell it.)
@singlemaltgirl If you were like me, you would have been one of the un-cool kids who happened to have a lunch box. The nerd with a lunchbox. That's probably what they called me. That said - I wish you had had more lunch, and a box to put it in.
@Lena_Tasi i don't remember any uncool kids having lunch boxes. π€ they were all branded w/ superheroes or cartoons or something. now this may be my faulty childhood memory.
i like nerds & geeks. i tend to get along w. them for whatever reason. all my bfs seem to be among their ranks. so perhaps i'm just weird?
@singlemaltgirl I'm more comfortable with nerds and geeks, myself. But at the time, when I was (was?) a nerd, nerds weren't the cool nerds they are today. They were...uncool. Very, very uncool.
@Lena_Tasi ah, i still think nerds are mostly uncool. and feel it. i just was never a cool kid so maybe i just didn't think about it that way? it may also be the reason i've never had a particular prejudice around dating nerds & geeks.
but i'm sorry you were uncool. that being said, i think most of us were uncool. & fwiw, i think you seem pretty cool π
@singlemaltgirl Back at you. :)
@Lena_Tasi I hated that weird metal smell. I imagined it getting all over my food. I preferred the brown paper sacks after my lunchbox went "missing".
@Lena_Tasi I think it was Dukes of Hazard maybe?
@jameshands Oh I would have loved to have that. Was crazy for that show.
@Lena_Tasi oh i always wanted a lunch box like all the cool kids had. i mean, i rarely had lunch but envy is a thing.
