@AskTheDevil funny you should say that, I must have read the same book. 23 years ago, I rang the guy I got my first ferret from, as it was climbing everything, & I really thought I had an extra special one.
Since then I have a whole list of events like yours.
@LazyFerret I actually once read a book on how to care for ferrets that said not to worry, because they cannot climb or jump.
I cannot help but think the writer of that book either hadn't met ferrets, or was playing a practical joke on the unsuspecting.
The day after I read that, I had to help a relative get their ferret out of a ceiling light fixture. They got into the wall, crawled into the ceiling, and it was disco-time!
