...still trying to figure this place out. Does clicking on the star mean 'thank you'? Also how do I find out haw many following, and followers, I have? And where can I see what I've posted?

@thecaricaturist Clicking on the star is equivalent to "liking" on Twitter or Facebook etc., It is called "Favoriting" here. As for how many you are following and followers... just go to your profile. It will have the number of posts you have made, how many follows you have done, and the number of followers. No one get's too hung up about those kinds of numbers here though.
