@LadyT I'm pretty sure he heard worse than that when he was prosecuting war crimes at the Hague
@Darkenyght1701 I'm sure he has, but how can the US simply allow outright lies which cause serious harm to a person's professional and personal reputation under the banner of free speech? It's incredible that in the US you can make as many unfounded allegations as you like with no consequences. Maybe it's because I'm English and trust in a person and their reputation is important

Unfortunately, the 1st amendment is a bit on the ambiguous side when it comes to what is and isn't permitted under it. You also have to show intent, which isn't always the easiest thing to do.
BTW- trump couldn't explain the difference between a Marxist and a socialist if his life depended on it.
@Darkenyght1701 I'm still at a loss to understand why you are using whataboutery, I was talking about the US but you just keep 'yeah, but what about you (insert preferred whataboutery subject). The news media in the UK is watched and read by the older generation, it has little sway and the right wing rags spend most of their profits paying out in defamation cases which have been upheld.
