I've seen several authors promote their books here, but if I ask questions, such as about availability or format, I get crickets. I'm used to authors being willing to answer questions that could get someone to read and support their work.

I'm not mad. I just find it odd. It doesn't fit with previously observed behavior from authors, including the many I have known personally.

It almost reminds me of when someone hires a "social media expert" to post for them, but who doesn't engage.
