I'm here to “meet” and talk to all sorts of people including those that I would have most likely blocked on the bird. I'm trying to get out of my own self created bubble and here is a good place to do that. Hopefully, many of you are here with similar plans. And if not, that's ok too.

But don’t try too hard to engage with trolls (the type you would have blocked). 1) studies show interacting with the other side more actually creates polarization and 2) they get kicked off here pretty quickly 😂
@JenSemDem @Kungfupussy I almost did that yesterday, thought, "Why not make fun of this dopey libertarian?", and then I remembered that that was just never worthwhile and didn't.
@NickTheSkydiver @JenSemDem yeah I try to avoid them. I’ve been here for years but on the DL but way more active in other places. When people are nice I might even become friends with them IRL, right @NickTheSkydiver ?
