@Kungfupussy OMG yes. I can't place events in the proper order either. Like, was I working here when [thing] happened? When did I date so-and-so...?
@cunningpike right?! Mine is always did this happen when I:
lived in Australia
Lived in Japan
First marriage
After divorce
@Kungfupussy You've moved around about as much as I have! Ireland, then Canada, now the US (great timing!). Divorced and re-married, as well. I wonder is that part of it? Wildly different phases of our lives?
@cunningpike I think so
@cunningpike me to. I’m so glad it’s not just me. I think part of the problem for me too is that I still feel like I don’t have a “home” so I feel like everything is temporary and can be taken away in an instant. Not great for anxiety, but I digress.
@cunningpike me too. I have two close friends from high school but that’s about it
@Kungfupussy I've found that most friendships that are close are still situational. When the thing that keeps you close changes, you drift apart despite all intentions to the contrary.
Close social media connections have been different for me - they have tended to survive the transitions in my life.
@Kungfupussy It's an weird feeling, isn't it? Someone asks "Where are you from?" and the answer is "It's complicated"... I have no regrets, though - everything brought me to where I am today.
