I really need a new mattress and buying one is filling me with dread. What if I chose the wrong one (again)? They are so expensive.
@elproffo interesting! I have a cal king bed and I’m honestly thinking about going back to a queen or king because it’s so bloody big. The one I have now is a Serta and I got it because it was a bit softer than my pervious one that was like sleeping on a plank. Now I am sleeping in a rut and it sucks
@Kungfupussy the IKEA ones start at about $250 not sure how soft they get. I need firm or I will not be able to stand and function the flowing day.
@elproffo sounds like me
@elproffo that’s really good to know. Thanks for your help
@Kungfupussy I hope you get a comfortable and restful nights sleep!
@elproffo me too
@Kungfupussy oh yeah soooo stressful!!!! I ended up getting a mattress in a box off Amazon, and use a mattress topper. It's super comfy so I did the same for the kids' beds! Good luck!
@struggle_bus I was debating that but I need to get my old one taken away
@Kungfupussy I paid a guy with a truck $50 to haul our old ones to the dump 😂😂
@Kungfupussy good luck! Check for sales!
@Kungfupussy I bought SEVERAL in a few years thinking they were all killing my back. Kept getting “firm.” I finally bought a Purple mattress, which seems too soft, so I put a 3” latex foam topper on it & I really like it. I now think it wasn’t the beds killing my back, but arthritis in my stupid back. You’re right, buying beds is WAY too expensive. Honestly, best sleep I ever had was 3” latex foam on the floor.🤷🏻♀️
@EmRey mine was when I lived in Japan and slept on a futon but I was also 22 years old 😂
@Kungfupussy Yep, age really has an impact!
@Kungfupussy What are you looking for? Buying an IKEA one was the best things I ever did. One of the better parts of buying a house.
