If there are any Australians around, I just tried the strangest dish at a restaurant that bills itself as Australian-inspired and have to know if a stack of this stuff (there should be a comma between pea and pancake) remotely resembles anything served in Australia.
It kind of worked? But still seemed weird—especially pairing mashed potatoes with pancakes—the entire time I was eating it.

@Kungfupussy Believe it or not they really meant Australia. I get the idea of riffing on UK-influenced bangers and mash, but this was QUITE a riff.
