In the #ManhattenVsTrump Hush money case. Judge Merchan says Trump may NOT offer his proposed mushy "presence of counsel" defense in his upcoming NY criminal trial.
Judge notes that while Trump's lawyers twice cite an order from Judge Lewis Kaplan in the Sam Bankman-Fried case, they omit the fact that Kaplan ruled AGAINST Bankman-Fried's similarly mushy not-quite-advice-of-counsel defense
