Whoops. looks like the House Republicans who want TFG as speaker do not know their own rules.
He is not eligible.
he thinks that if the Government shutsdown, so does the DOJ
he could do nothing as speaker and accomplish his goals until they vacate him
@Kinnison I think your main mistake is to assume that Republicans (like their British Tory counterpart) care about rules. Rules are for you, not for them. This also applies to their voter base. Survey after survey shows that Republicans forgive anything if you are one of them (or pretend to be - like in religion, this is indistinguishable) whereas Democrats value the law much higher, independent of the perpetrator.
@Kinnison plus it requires actual WORK and doesn't protect him legally in any way.
