#F35 wreckage has been found less than 100 miles north of Charleston South Carolina

In 1970, an F-106 Delta Dart went into a flat spin from which the pilot could not recover. At 15,000 feet, he ejected.
The force of the ejection, combined with the change in center of mass, was sufficient to recover the now-pilotless plane from the spin.
it fairly comfortably came to a belly landing in a field, but with the engines still on, so it slid itself across the snowy field until it ran out of fuel.
An hour and 45 minutes later.
THe F-106 was trimmed for landing and idle, and recovery ground crew figured it could have still been flown after "Crashing" it was repaired, put back into service and upon retirement donated to a museum
