They tried the "It was a joke" defense
My reply "A womans choice on her looks is her choice and everyone else should mind their own business in regards to it. Comments can be degrading and insulting even if you do not think they are, and is definitely not worth a punchline"
sadly a mod decided to bury it, and deleted the comments instead of addressing the problem. I tried

@Kinnison Tch. Really puts into perspective how shallow some people are. If you can't see someone passed their appearance then you've got some learning to do.
