I wish PLP for CoSo were not a pro feature, it could really help bring people on board if they can just see people using the platform (pre-signup) in an easy way, it could also help friends find each other, and we really need that now, wonder if @th3j35t3r would consider it
Bad actors will abuse it, so I'd call it doubtful.
We're not having difficulties "bringing people on board". There's an argument to be had in favor of making it more challenging at this point.
Did you know our costs have literally quadrupled since Elmo bought Twaffle and you folks all started fleeing to these sunnier shores to tell us all what we ought to be doing INSTEAD?
@mcfate @th3j35t3r just goes to show how small it was before hand, if CoSo is serious about doing things better, that also includes listening to your users and maybe not be passive aggressive towards newcomers.
I completely get there is a cost to running this, but most users literally dont care, they just want a good platform.
But if your gonna make it in the world of social media and not be a blip in social media history, then you gotta capture all the users you can.
Consider that from our point of view, we've ALREADY "made it in social media". We've been here for five years.
Nobody's too worried about posterity or future histories that nobody's writing so far.
Maybe newcomers should show a little more respect for the folks who've been here β and helped to actually keep the lights on with more substance than out-of-left-field suggestions.
Just a thought.
