If you are not vegan yet, ask yourself this question:
What's stopping you from being kind to animals?
@KarlFirefly the way they taste 😜
seriously tho, i look for producers that aren't cruel which has reduced my meat consumption. i look for more sustainable practices. but i won't be going vegan. there are few pleasures in life. food is one of them for me. i'm looking for balance in my life.
@KarlFirefly I can be vegetarian. But I can’t give up cheese ..
@Juhstin I felt that way for many years, you would be shocked I had good vegan cheeses now compared to just 2020
@Juhstin Myokos Creamery is a great place to start
@KarlFirefly I grew up in farm country. I feel guilty about pork. Cows, chickens, turkeys... They're meat, walking around, uneaten. So are many fish. Lobsters don't actually have brains. Who the hell do you think you are to claim I am not kind to animals because I think some don't actually act sentient?
@KarlFirefly That is a question I pondered deeply and still revisit. The moral reason is that I think plants and animals both have value. Why is it worse to eat a plant than to eat an animal? Because we can relate to animals more than plants? My body also rejects most plant-based food, so it's also a practical matter. I revere all life.
@KarlFirefly I share my nuggets with my dog. That's compassion.
