@NorCalCherylLyn I know leopards and faces, but it makes me I'll to think of our service folks - most recruited by economic forces - without adequate health care. I'm just going to keep chanting to myself that we can't protect folks from the natural consequences of our collective decision until the rage leaves me.
@Irmaplotz I hope the chanting works! Hubs joined in ‘81 because he wanted to travel, serve and have medical insurance for life. It was one on the benefits they played up at recruiting centers in the ‘80s when enlistment was low.
They tried to take it away decades later by saying Congress did away with it. We said no…he had a contract and they capitulated. Now he’s 100% disabled they’re going to try it again??? Nfw!

Yes, I joined in '83. Not disabled though. I wonder at what point they come for our retirement pay.? After all, we're not doing anything to earn it now.
