I left Catholicism circa 2017 but here’s what I know and believe, despite now choosing to loosely subscribe to the religion of my husband:
Jesus would drive someone across state borders for life-saving care, even if it meant criminal prosecution.
Jesus would be manning the refreshments table at drag queen story time at a public library.
Jesus would be leaving water and food caches for migrants along the border.
Jesus would be the founder and OG promoter of Woke.
Jesus would wear a mask to save lives even when it was no longer mandated.
Jesus would fight for children to get no questions asked free lunches and probably breakfasts too.
Jesus would be marching in Pride parades and he would agree that Black Lives Matter.
Jesus would wish his neighbors “Happy Holidays” because he appreciates their diversity.
Jesus would clothe, feed, and shelter the homeless, not make them illegal.
Jesus would fight/preach against corporate greed.
