The Presidential Centers joint statement, released yesterday, asserts:

“Civility and respect in political discourse, whether in an election year or otherwise, are essential.”

I freely confess that I struggle mightily to afford respect to anyone who lies, denies simple facts, and doesn't care about the health and voting rights of BIPOC, women and LGBTQ Americans.

I'm sorry, (not sorry). Sue me.

It is scary to think how much our Democracy was held together by respect, integrity, honor and following traditions. In the last 30-40 years a party who found themselves the minority decided to throw it all away to maintain power

Should write out the current definitions of these words, at least the way politicians use them.
