@walterbays
Could they take the KCC with them when they go?
@walterbays
I had an acquaintance in Arkansas offer to measure my house for solar panels 15 years ago. I said Kansas doesn't do net metering. He said never mind.
It's better now but not much.
@KGinKS With battery storage and panels almost twice as efficient as 15 years ago, solar might make sense even without net metering.Also it might be too expensive for a single house to go off grid, with extra battery and backup generator. But it might be feasible for a neighborhood to go off grid, sharing battery and generator. Of course utilities try to prohibit such customer escapes with state regulations against microgrids.
@KGinKS Talk about hostility to renewable energy! https://www.uppermichiganssource.com/2023/08/10/kansas-couples-solar-panels-could-result-lien-property/
@KGinKS Kumeyaay Community College? 😉
