@KGinKS Roberts is finally reigning them in. He's the only one of the conservatives who cares about the reputation of the court. Though of course that horse has fled the barn.
@Notokay @KGinKS I have no time for Roberts after his condescending scold of those questioning the legitimacy of the court at this time.
This isn't something that "happened to you" unfairly. It happened on your watch. You have agency in the decline in public opinion.
I mean, McConnell is the root cause, but Roberts failed too.
@S_r_stone @KGinKS Oh, 💯%. My dislike for Roberts is intense. But as a retired constitutional law professor opined to me yesterday, "Alito's Dobbs decision will go down in history as the Dred Scott decision of this century." And that is probably how the Roberts court will be remembered.
