I absolutely adore my Tesla, but this whole Elon thing is just the worst. I feel so conflicted, and I wish he'd just take his money and go away already. Now Twitter, too?
@johnl404 Re Tesla - I rented a car recently & was surprised with an EV - a Chev Bolt. I was traveling out of state... Had to download 3 diff apps to track down chargers; did not have long-range veh. Took an hour to charge & fastest rate was crazy slow. There's something to love about Teslas! Unfortunately, I lost mine in the pending divorce. :(

What you've described is exactly why I love mine so much. There just isn't a comparable EV option yet. Aptera looks promising but I need a heat pump living in Minnesota, and I'm waiting to see if they release a model with that option
