I was watching a youtube video that was a deep analysis of Tarantino's films over lunch, and it got into a wander, talking about the effect of social media on culture.
Most notably it cited a Korean philosopher who has spoken about Social Media being antithetical to the formation of true community, substituting community for random hits of attention.
Then I thought about Coso, which is in many ways the antithesis of social media.
@NiveusLepus @MLClark @AskTheDevil @thewebrecluse we are indeed a very good community!! You know I’m an evangelical but most of my friends here are not religious , some of them are atheists and we don’t argue about that , I think we all have that understanding, we don’t try to impose my religious beliefs on others and my atheist friends don’t criticize me for my religious beliefs, we get along well, in other platforms the environment is toxic , that is why I’m never leaving #coso .
@Jorro @NiveusLepus @MLClark @thewebrecluse
One of my brothers (who lives with me) is an evangelical Christian, who I love to pieces.
He is my rock.
And of course, everyone's heard of the other brother.
@Jorro @NiveusLepus @MLClark @thewebrecluse
I am not an evangelical, or any other sort of Christian. I do not follow any religion at all.
Obviously, my brother's worldview and mine are extremely different and incompatible.
But _we_ are not incompatible.
We are partners, helpmates, and _brothers_.
If Satan and an Evangelical can be brothers, nobody else has an excuse to not get along.
@AskTheDevil @NiveusLepus @MLClark @thewebrecluse exactly !! Good point!!
