Trump would act ‘like a little elementary schoolchild,’ former spiritual adviser James Robison says washingtonpost.com/politics/20

A lot of people are missing the big picture with this article. When W was running for POTUS, he met with Robison who--in W's words--wanting him to "kick the gays."

W refused to do this because, while he agreed that homosexuality was a sin, he also felt that many other things were sins--and these were things W and everyone else in the world were guilty of.

In this article, Robison claims that he challenged Trump and even yelled at him for his behavior, but what was the context? It wasn't concern over Trump's salvation at all. It wasn't Trump behavior in bedding porn stars.

Robison yelled at him (if he is to be believed) for running his mouth and getting wrapped up in petty issues, because he felt that this was a distraction from the bigger war Robison wanted waged, on abortion and cultural issues.

It is hard not become completely disgusted by Robison at this point, and he is someone I have met, have often heard speak, and have multiple two or three degrees of separation from.

The problem is that as Christians our eyes are supposed to be set on the eternal. Robison is so wrapped up in trying to fix the world--a world that cannot be fixed by any human power--that he has lost sight of this. Meanwhile, he is paving the road to hell for people through his actions.

@John_Scotus It's stories like this that give me cause to remind myself that not only is the greatest commandment to love God and to love our neighbors as ourselves, but that "all of the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." I.e. it doesn't matter what we're pursuing - if we aren't doing it in Love, we are missing the mark.
