Watching the news this morning about what's going on in hospitals in LA and people are using words like unfortunate and troubling. Meanwhile I'm screaming into my pillow. Why aren't they shouting? Why aren't they angry? Why aren't they calling out the people who are causing this?

My guess? They've been numbed by exhaustion, frustration, and futility. And it's just way too big to be personal.
