@Ironworker229 grew up saying to the boys, wrongo boyo lol
@Jezibaba For me it was "Hey there Boyo!" Lol! How are the spawn doing?
@Ironworker229 they are fantastic. Young one in Pittsburgh is adulting through no fault of my own. Who is this guy? He and gf are moving into a sfh, renting, with a ton of space. I cannot wait to go visit.
Ian is fab. He's working in town for now on a davis bacon job. He's been helping me winterize.
How are you and yours
@Jezibaba Wow! Big moves in Pitt! That's awesome! Prevailing wage for the win! Should be some nice paychecks for him! I've been thankful through the latest heat wave (up over 110 at the house last week!) that we did the wall insulation and heat pump/mini split. We're all just kind of trucking along, 'round here. No drama, all's well!
@Ironworker229 w t f 110? I just read how this past summer was hottest on record beating out last year. We're in deep shit.
No drama is grand. Hard earned and well appreciated.
Sending some chilly vibes your way. 🍂🍁
@Jezibaba We've had 108 in the past, but over 110 was bullshit! I went outside to clear a few things out and drop in the trash...I lasted 10 minutes and was like, Mmmmm...Fuck this! I'll take all of the chilly vibes with appreciation! It's down to mid- '80's, now. Much improved.
@Ironworker229 can you feel it zapping the life out of you? Making it for only 10 minutes is brutal. 80s is much better. 🔥
@Ironworker229 even though I've driven through the Mojave Desert several times I couldn't tell you what the temps were when we were in the middle of it. I know it wasn't 115°.
78 indoors sounds divine. Where is Imperial valley?
@Jezibaba If you start in San Diego and head East on I-8 for 1.5 hours, you'll find yourself in the Imperial Valley. El Centro is the biggest city out there (pop.-44k), surrounded by farmland that's heavily irrigated by the All American and Highline canals that come West from the Colorado River. IV is also home of the Salton Sea, which has some interesting history.
