American singer, songwriter and actor, Debbie Harry, photographed for Vanity Fair (2014) by American photographer, Annie Leibovitz (born in 1949).
"A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people," says Leibovitz.
Also astonishing is her skill in drawing out the essence of her subjects, in this case, the boldness, strength, and chutzpah of Debbie Harry.

on the pages of the magazine Vanity Fair in the 80s & 90s...
She also did a wonderful show,
long ago, that I was lucky enough to go see called "Johny & June" of all her b&w photos from her shoot with June Carter & Johnny Cash, late in their life together... It Was Amazing.

that "Johnny & June" show of hers
that I went to!!!
It was a wonderful show & there was literally dozens of the two them
together that she had taken...
I jest did a search of that show &
if I had not of gone to it myself in-person & saw them it would seem
like it didn't happen!

that show I could find...
They were all the size of posters
& as beautiful 🏴☠️

@Jezibaba I'm sure Ive seen her art before but I'm not familiar with a body of work from Leibovitz. She captured Debbie Harry here just perfectly, though. I hope there's more to come.
