@Jezibaba oh my dear. i'm just a straight up mess 😜 🙄
@singlemaltgirl I have been having the hardest time the last few months. This is a reminder for myself as well. Here's to messy! 🥂
@singlemaltgirl I spent three decades with messy. It took a lot of hard work and effort to find calm. To have that upended shows me where the weaknesses are. Now to shore up those weaknesses with the strengths and rebuild.
Thank you and accepted. May you also navigate beautifully towards restored order.
@singlemaltgirl I know this is going to sound cliche but I found calm by being it. Something shifted when I turn 50, a peace that I'd never experienced before arrived and stayed. That's not to say I'm not still fighting against injustices and so much of the insanity that surrounds us. It's just that like you I have found how to surround myself with things that help me ground and improve the calm. What I realized was how much of other people's shit I was trying to own.
@Jezibaba well, you're ahead of the game in my books! i think i came out of the womb kicking & fighting & found those skills served me well in childhood. it took me a while to adapt them to adulthood.
now in my 40's, i've been learning about not always coming up w/ fists but w/ empathy, boundaries, letting things go & surrounding myself w/ things that feel good for me, that don't diminish me, that support me. i'm still on my journey to find calm but i'm closer 😊
how did you find your calm?
