Was at lunch the other day with 2 friends. Hard as it was, I did not initiate political convo got but another did. Suddenly I felt like a priest when they both looked a bit sheepish and confessed they did not vote. My list of "did not vote" keeps growing.

Yes. We have disagreements about issues - and we always will. But there is this umbrella that so many of these issues fall under. Called Democracy (or Constitutional Republic). Can we not at least agree to join together to stop the bastardizing of our Democracy and join together to at least salvage that. Then...then, work on the issues under that umbrella?

Since year-end, adjusted my social media interaction to recalibrate and rediscover my center so I don't feel like my head is going to explode every day. Was a good decision. Onward!!

And then 60 million people died. An entire world was plunged into chaos," Obama said. "So you got to pay attention -- and vote."

Have been trying to take some breaks this week to give my mind and emotions a rest, a recharge. But after a few days of this I am beginning to think it's easier to get the latest news as it rolls out vs playing catch-up. Otherwise, it feels like jumping from a plane without a parachute.
