I’m not from NY (WA) so I couldn’t read the full proposed amendment on the back of the NY ballot you were showing in your post. I’m hoping it will actually empower everyone, but I know that Republicans are using confusing language in many states to enact amendments or laws that do the opposite of what they seem to be saying.
Hoping NY has well informed its voters on the true outcome of any admendment or proposed laws. 🥰

Reading this amendment proposal clarifies the condensed version on the ballot. Thank you 🥰 It reads as beneficial to me in that it expands the already existing civil protections under the law to more specifically include marginalized groups.
I’d vote Yes 🥰
