So much for a warm Welsh welcome. I just hung up on a siarad (Welsh speaking practice) because I told the ladies twice that I had a death and am in mourning. Not a single one of them expressed condolences. They just kept on talking about themselves after the leader said "paid a phoeni" in response to my apology for being out of sorts. Is this normal?

@JeniRizio We don't feel that as normal. Far from it.

Sorry for your loss. The jolt of their dismissal certainly wasn't any comfort. Responding to someone's grief creates discomfort in some, but being rude isn't kind or normal.

Keeping you in our thoughts!

@webgyreuser thank you so much. she wrote to me today asking why i left. I could not tell if it was an olive branch or an ulterior motive, so I told her what happened. she said she was sorry for my loss and could not hear my sad message due to background noise. if that was the case then did she reply "not to worry?" her words and her actions don't match. I think I will just keep away from her.
