@Jellifish - Humor is always going to depend on the family/community you grew up in. People born to one Black parent and one Asian parent, from my experience, are called Blasian. As someone with a Caucasian mother and Indigenous Latino father, I was too dark for my Caucasian family and seen as a mutt in my genetic father's eyes. When I finally connected with someone from his ancestry at 60, I felt I had insulted them for not being able to pronounce a surname correctly. Didn't feel funny. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

@JoIn5D you gotta losen up abit. Being so thight in your life can give more stress to you.

My parents.are from different ethnical bground witb diffrnt native languages,, tell me about mis pronounciation!!!! Esp when im not fluent in both native languages.

Laughter is medication.

You gotta have open mind on this.

@Jellifish - I'll get there some day. I'm still processing that my mother lied to me for 60 years about who my biological father was.

As the family genealogist, it feels like my history/identity was stolen from me and I have no way to replace it due to the language barrier on all the old records. I tried, but I don't learn languages well.

Will I fix the damage before I shuffle off this mortal coil? Who knows. Bottom line, I'm still me. I just know less now.

@JoIn5D probably she did it to protect you. The challenge is now for u to connect to your roots, if you want do that. Some.day it will all be good for u on this.
