When I moved here 2 years ago I left my reel mower behind. Since I got a job right away I paid the teenager next door to mow with their gas mower. Then he graduated and moved away (and I got laid off.) I was given an electric corded mower that I used all last summer. But I got real tired of tripping over and wrestling with the extension cord.
So I just got a battery powered mower! I can’t wait to use it!

Something I missed that nearly made me snap: a safety feature that makes it auto shutdown if the handle gets too loose, which it will over time. Phone support was super nice, they must’ve heard it a few times before….
And now we’ve reached the age of discussing lawn gear, let us all shout it in unison: GET OFF MY LAWN
@Jeffj1111 Glad you told me about that feature, I’ll keep it in mind if something like that happens.
The previous owners had a bench under the tree near the street. It was falling apart so I removed it, thinking I’d replace it someday… but do I really want people traipsing across the lawn to sit on it? And having their dogs do their business there?
