The only famous person in my family is George Catlin, on my mother's side. There have been newspaper writers and publishers, but nothing of theirs is in the Smithsonian.

@Jeber Yes, sort of. My great grandmother's line traces back to Robert E Lee. My brothers think that's something to be proud of. I have a decidedly different opinion. Also, one of my ancestors came over on the Mayflower.
@Jeber Uncas , one of the great Native American Chiefs . 14 generations have passed since his time . I'm fortunate to be able to link my heritage directly back to his day .
