Day number I don't even know anymore of being snowed in. Was able to get a ride to the grocery store today, and just say it was treacherous and frightening is putting it lightly. The roads are horrific. I understand now why we're still homebound. I was not prepared for this, neither was the south, clearly. Good news, I have a fully stocked fridge now and I'm good to go till I go back to work likely Wed or Thurs. Cooking up some Louisiana chili pinto beans. Basically it's like a stew.

@mcfate basically, yes, lol. We weren't prepared for over 10 in for sure. The main roads are okay, but you go off that strip and it's pure hell and dangerous. We're in an extremely hilly mountainous area, which makes it 10 times more dangerous. The sun is out which is actually melting the top layer but making it like a freshly Zamboni'd ice rink on the roads. I can drive and still just fine. This is three to four inch thick solid packed ice

@mcfate I am, now! Nom's for the dogs and I, and wine. I'll manage fine now πŸ˜…

@JeSsA @mcfate . The ice is so treacherous and add hills, well, no thanks. I'm glad you have time off.

@Cmnslivn @mcfate yes, the hills are awful. Grateful we made it to the store and back with only the rear end of the truck going into a ditch and fishtailing a few times. Glad to be stocked up and not have to go anywhere

@JeSsA @mcfate . We can get around here ok in town, but I have no desire to do anything but hibernate. I'm really good at it and we are very stocked up on supplies right now.
