No offense intended, but every pug I have ever met was as lovable as a teddy bear, and as dumb as a bag of mulch. There may be intelligent pugs out there, but I have never met one. They ain't no boarder collies, that's for sure.
Chickens on the other hand, are significantly less intelligent than even the dumbest of pugs. They can be docile, and even quite lovable, but not a lot of calculus going on between those ear membranes.
