Black Friday is an American invention that has spread up north to Canada, so I am wondering when will grocery stores jump on the bandwagon. Rather have 20% off on food than on a big-screen tv

@JayCee Every year I wonder why we get caught up in this American Black Friday thing. Oh, I know, 💰

@JayCee
The ALDI chain of grocery stores has set prices on "thanksgiving" stuff back to 2019.

@MPCavalier
no such luck here in Canada, pricing just will never go down and climbing every day

@JayCee my daughter, who's worked her whole working life in retail, from KayBe stores, to Best Buy and now, the Navy Exchange, tells me Black Friday was a biggie for the stores that started it. She also says they still sell cheap flat screen TVs. It's like there still people that don't have one to watch! I remember buying one in 1982!
