In case anyone was wondering where I've been, or why I've not been active, my cousin Jimmy Lewis was diagnosed with End Stage Cancer which has been found on his pancreas, liver I think and his lungs. They're still not sure the primary site/source, but say that it was from chemicals he worked around as maintenance for heavy machinery.
46 years old, he has 3 kids. Jimmy has been a hard worker his whole life. I've been doing a bottle drive for him and this past weekend two yard sales and a raffle
Raising money for Jimmy and his family. I never thought I'd be this young and see any of my cousins face a terminal illness. I am lost, so when I'm lost, I bury myself in work to help those in need when and where possible.
Jimmy and his mother, since his wife nor kids were there.
Sad all around. Everyone copes & grieves in their own way, but I just pray the family comes together through this. I just hope those kids truly know how loved they are even from family they hardly know.
I wish God would take his pain away and heal him, but Jimmy is fading. Jimmy's in palliative care and isn't expected to make it back home, although he was able to wake up for the presentation of card and gift.
My heart breaks for him.
@damselfly59 thank you so much. It was actually my father, uncle and I, but my uncle couldn't bring himself to join us for the presentation. My grandfather (my mother and uncle's father) died of cancer when they were young too.
My uncle, John Ryan, is the one who does bottle drives and fundraisers for various people usually going through cancer, but some other hardships too ... his next bottle drive is for someone who lost their leg to diabetes. He is well experienced in fundraising for sure.

💧 Hopefully they were able to make peace before this stage. It is the hardest on your loved ones.
You and your dad are what I call earth angels. I met many along our journey. You are critical to survivors🖤
