Remember there are no obtrusive notifications with this app, you have to physically find them under the bell up top of the screen ^^
To the left with the people icon is "Community Firehose", the house icon is the feed including your friends, the bell then

The bell is your notifications and the envelope is your inbox messages. To the far right with the three horizontal lines you will find where you can edit and access your own CoSo profile.
I was also gonna add, that if you want to gain some followers, drop your account names below, and please be kind and follow back, folks! Let's grow this thingy!
