If only we could be this lucky:
just what we need a repeat of... chaos, corruption, and division... instead of competence and integrity... i sure hope voters are not stupid enough to fall for that a second time..
@Museek I'm just dumbfounded and dismayed by the millions of people following that con artist like the Pied Piper... except he's leading them to the polls... it is the worst cult.
@Museek There isn't a good reason why he should have a chance... if this country had more responsible adults, there is no reason he shouldn't lose by the biggest margin ever. Unfortunately we have tens of millions of "adults" who are acting out because he is and they think he's great. To compound that, WAY too many people will either not vote or waste it on a non-contender. People have to vote for the Democratic nominee... Biden or his replacement...
@JasonStiff @Museek My health improved when Biden was elected and I lost weight, which I needed to do. Now I'm packing on the weight again, I'm stressed and getting depressed over the thought of Trump possibly becoming our next President again.
@Resister_Grandma @Museek I remember half-jokingly threatening to leave if Bush beat Gore in 2000. Those days now seem quaint compared to the thought of trump occupying the Oval Office a second time... if enough people in this country grow up, vote to prevent trump from winning, and don't repeat the childish, petulant voter action / inaction of 2016 that allowed trump to "win", we have a chance to not become a fascist nazi state...
poignant reminder..The stakes certainly feel higher and the consequences very serious.
I'm thinking about the younger generation and how they will vote. I have been concerned about turnout as I am seeing a lot of anti-Biden remarks in circles because of the war in Israel and Palestine. You mentioned petulant voters but am also thinking about the misinformed voters or those who just won't turn up.
@Museek @JasonStiff I know one that is anti-Biden AND anti-Trump. She is using her voice to steer people towards a third party. There is no use trying to talk sense into her. She's an American expat living in Palestine.
@JasonStiff understood.. do you think he legitimately has anywhere near the support to make that happen? I think last I heard Republicans make up about a quarter of the voters and perhaps 30-40% strongly support him. I hope that’s correct. But yes, it’s hard to believe he’s even a contender, at this point.
