Watching that bridge collapse felt unreal, like a simulation. The nature of infrastructure is so delicate. So sorry for those who are impacted, and relieved it wasn't more fatal. A few hours later would be an entirely different story. 💔
^As an aside. I have a phobia of bridges collapsing, and whenever I would cross the GW, Throg's Neck, Tappanzee, or any large bridge for that matter, I would review my plan to escape my car in case of a bridge collapse. Every time. Not that it would improve my chances of survival, but it made me feel like it would.
