Not long ago I read an article about how koala bears can't recognize a eucalyptus leaf that's been removed from the branch. It's because their brains are not complex.
I'm beginning to wonder about dogs. Because, smart as they are, mine insists on going in an area where (if I allow it) 95% of the time she'll end up with a painful sticker in the pad of a foot.
And she LOVES Stickerville. Why?
Yes, I got the sticker out. She's fine. Now MY finger hurts.

@J_Windrow Perhaps the dog feels whatever is attracting her to Stickerville is worth the risk. Kind of like people that smoke even though they know it is bad for them, etc.
