Ok ... serious question... what can I do if I suspect Walmart sold me a vial of insulin where the cold-chain wasn't maintained, so the insulin is DOA? Like I could inject that stuff like water... and it has NO effect on my blood sugar levels. Change out the vial (brand/type) and inject the insulin, and lo-and-behold! my blood sugars start to come down. I'm... so tired. I feel exhausted because everyone (doctors, family etc.) blames ME for my high blood sugars, all the time.

@Dogofalltrees controlling BG is often a crapshoot. T2's need to tightly control carbs. T1's have no insulin (or very little) and have different food issues.

I think Bernstein has the best plan for T1s. It's draconian, but it works.

That said: get an injury and BG goes up. Get the sniffles and BG goes up. Do everything perfectly and BG goes up - or crashes. Exercise? Gotta check BG all the time. Keep a glucose tab around just in case. Brittle diabetic? Even worse.

@J_Windrow don’t forget the lack of universal healthcare… so you’re price gouged every step of the way until you just can’t afford it. 😓
