Hey, #WritingCommunity and other friends, if you're in the path of the storm, what are you dealing with? We have rain so far; the cold arrives overnight.
We had a little rain earlier today. At present the wind is so bad we took the holiday decorations into the house to keep them from becoming small metal missiles.
It's -2° windchill. Going to be a flash freeze tonight.
My biggest concern was an emergency dog rescue. Had my vet on standby in case we were the ones who got them. We weren't, so someone else's vet is evaluating two traumatized, skinny, freezing, dogs.
Fingers crossed for people and critters.
@WestofMars One of the dogs turned up a local rescue group - very pregnant. They couldn't catch the larger dog. We're hoping someone else could. If not, that dog may be dead by now.
@J_Windrow Oh, no! Animals have a pretty savvy survival instinct, though. Maybe he's still alive.
