Numerous defendants facing charges stemming from the J-6 riot, have sought delays in their cases due to a potential pardon from Trump and one defendant, Thomas Osborne expects a pardon coming down soon from Trump. Politico's Kyle Cheney wrote that Osborne's lawyer had spoken to a high member of Trump's administration and a pardon is almost guaranteed.

@JV3MJD just a pardon? I think not. I guarantee you Trump is going to have a ceremony and present these guys with a special cheesy medal for supporting the Big Lie. He will probably interrupt all television broadcasting to shove it down America's throat, as he walks from criminal to criminal and puts the pendant medal around their neck as our national anthem plays. There will probably be a special dais erected right at the site of their crimes where the ceremony will happen
