New: Kevin McCarthy denied a request from President Zelenskyy to deliver a joint address to Congress, instead siding with Putin.
He also refused to accept a classified briefing from the Biden administration on the situation in Ukraine.
@JV3MJD Kevin McCarthy, we already knew he was a toady and an authoritarian. But this is both insulting and foolish almost beyond belief. He doesn't want to know what's happening in Ukraine because it might make him feel guilty. Well Kevin, that's why you make the big bucks.
@JV3MJD TBF, he has a lot on his plate: he's the dad at a family dinner that's degenerated into a brawl. He'll go down in history as the classic example of "be careful what you wish for, you might get it." Also as the Speaker who presided helplessly over the GQP's explosive self-destruction.
