We have Van Halen for @JoyfullyDazed
We have The Replacements for @InUnfunky
We have The Grateful Dead for @tgraph52
And Prince for me.

Well, when you put it like that...I like 20/21 so I guess I'm a Walz fanboi. 😆

In other words...what's "Red Wine Supernova"? I have no idea so I can't like it, dislike it, or be nonplussed. 😉

(Maybe I'll look for it on YT. And maybe I won't. heh)

@tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

Also, TB -- now I'm wondering which tunes you DON'T like. 😀

@tgraph52 @InUnfunky @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

Brings to mind what songs in general make me switch the station instantly:

- Give Me one Reason to Stay
- Low Rider
- Sending out an SOS
- We Built this City
- Copa Cabana

@Sr0bi @tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

Whoa. You dislike “Message In A Bottle”?

What’s “Give me one reason…”? The Tracy Chapman tune?

I like every WAR song except that one with Eric Burdon, so 🤷🏻‍♂️😁

“Copa” and “City,” agreed. 😎

@InUnfunky @tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

Two SOS's would have been plenty. Yes the Chapman song. Granted it's not the worst available but it's not for me lyric-wise..

@Sr0bi @tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

I’m thinking I should come up a list of “popular tunes I dislike.” 😝

@InUnfunky @tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

Define popular.
Baby baby Don't get Hooked on Me?
Achy Breaky Heart?

@Sr0bi @tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

“Popular” in the widest and most general sense, not derogatory in any way. Non-classical and not jazz. “Popular music” not necessarily restricted to Billboard lists, etc.

But do go on with examples like “Achey Breaky Heart” which I can’t even pretend to appreciate in an ironic manner. 😎🤣

My Personal List of the Icons That Define Pop Music:

Bing Crosby
Frank Sinatra
Elvis Presley
The Beatles
Michael Jackson

and then the Interwebs fucked all that up

@Sr0bi @tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

Are you speaking of the Salma Hayek/Matthew Perry flick?

If so, yes I watched it. Primarily for Salma Hayek. 😆

@InUnfunky @tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

I can name a chart topping hit that probably none of you sing in the shower, but I'll be showing my age for sure.

@Sr0bi @InUnfunky @Bix @JoyfullyDazed

It reached #6 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #21 in the UK Singles Chart in 1974. Billboard ranked it as the No. 13 song for 1974.

Man, you all tweeted through the night.

I am now playing:
