I drove an hour away to get gf burger buns, Italian garlic bread and waffles. They didn't have the waffles, so I ordered them for next week and will do it all over again.
Let's put a positive spin on this:
They trust that it is good. Because I can tell you, I would rather drive an hour for good food I can eat than bad food that is near by.
Don't get me started on the "burger aficionados" who order one medium rare and then when they get it medium rare they whine that it's not how they wanted it...so they get an entirely new burger (cuz that's what we do) with the shit smashed out of it (cuz that's what I do) and that shit goes away lickety split.
You may or may not be surprised that many diners do not know how they like their red meat cooked...
I have an open invitation for "kitchen visitors," btw.

I worked in restaurants in NY for a decade. Most people do not know how to order food. And most servers do not know how food should be ordered.
