When I moved from FL to CT in ‘99 I had to rejuvenate my “baseball bullshit” jive. And it was certainly easy to do so in a portion of the country (NY/CT/NJ AKA the much-vaunted “tri-state area”) wherein the Sawx/Metz/Yankz camps were evenly split. 🤷🏻♂️🤓
From that point it was a non-issue to combine my FL spring training mentality with a bit more regional fanaticism vis a vis people who took said fandom VERY SERIOUSLY.
I never lost my fence-sitter mindset, though. 😜
