We have a tiny Indian restaurant in Asheville that won James Beard Best Restaurant Award in 2022.
Pretty sure Namaste hasn’t won a Beard. 😏
Some of the stuff I’ve tried is decent, some tastes like Chinese/Indian which is not my thing.
I was spoiled by some very good places in Tampa and Fairfield County (CT), as well as Westbury, NY.
Either I’ve become a restaurant snob or really good dining is hard to find. Living on fixed income, I have stopped experimenting.
Very loyal patron of the ones that excel.
Simple shrimp & grits is a great litmus test in the south. Or biscuits. 9 out of 10 are mediocre.
Nine Mile does it right.
