Saying goodbye to an old T-shirt (yeah I know it's silly). This rag was from the first year I did the AIDS/LifeCycle Ride -- a pivotal year for me. The community I found there, where the only real rule was to support and find joy in each other, has been my ideal, my benchmark, for community ever since.
@KarenSohne Yes, old T-shirts find new jobs as cleaning rags.
I still have more memorabilia than I want to burden my survivors with. I can let go of a holy holey T-shirt.
@ImagineThat I have a few like that - I folded them up and put them in a drawer i don't use. Memories.
@ImagineThat lots of memories, l’d hang on to it a bit longer, can part of it be repurposed?
